Research papers are hard to read because:
- they contain a lot of jargon
- the format is unnecessarily complex
- they are not written with storytelling principles in mind
- you can miss the most important info because of all the other fluff
Research papers are hard to find because:
- it takes expertise to read through them which creates this barrier to entry for someone who might want to curate them
- there is not one well known aggregator of research papers where you’d go to read the best ones
- the world is in 2024, but the current sites like PubMed, Google Scholar, and others still have a UI/UX from 1990s
